For runners, riders and walkers

Every route you’ve ever run,
drawn in light.

Cometrail pulls your workouts straight from Apple Health and Strava, then plays them back as a glowing comet trail sweeping across the map — and exports the whole thing as video you can actually post.

iOS 17 or later · Apple Health & Strava · No account required

Built around one idea: your routes deserve better than a static line.

  • The comet trail

A continuous tapering stroke follows the playhead — never a chain of dots, so it stays unbroken at any zoom. Width, length and falloff are all yours to tune.

  • Apple Health, automatically

Grant permission once and every run, ride and walk with GPS data shows up on the map. Nothing to import by hand.

  • Strava sync

Connect your Strava account to pull in activities recorded on other devices, merged into the same timeline.

  • Export as video

Record the animation to a real video file at the aspect ratio you need, with a live crop preview so you know exactly what lands in frame.

  • Any window of time

Filter to a training block, a season, or everything you’ve ever logged. Watch a year of mileage accumulate in seconds.

  • Maps that get out of the way

Switch between map styles and route colours until the city reads the way you want it to — dark and quiet, or bright and busy.

Three steps, then you’re posting.

  1. Connect

Allow Health access, and optionally link Strava. Your routes load onto the map on first launch.

  2. Frame it

Pick your window of time, choose a map style and colour, set the export aspect ratio, and pan to the view you want.

  3. Play and export

Hit play. The trail draws itself across your routes, and the recording lands in your photo library when it finishes.
